Nature's Pencil: Gallery: Isle of Dogs from Thames Barrier
Standing on the bank of the Thames on a chilly evening the beauty of the sky was obvious, but the best way to use it was not, and it took me half an hour to find this viewpoint.
I am not totally happy with the result. It is rather spoiled by the red lights on the barrier that appear to leap forward from their true position.
But many people like it, and Queen Mary College, of London University used this shot in a poster campaign under the heading No Barriers
