If you have already looked at other shots in this gallery you will know that I like to unify the elements of a picture by restricting the colour palette. It isn't often that as big a scene as this contains so few colours, so it is obvious why I was drawn to it. But I must confess to cheating slightly. Those muted orange cups, shoes, jackets, and paintwork were actually a variety of shades of orange, pink and brown.

I thought a suitable filter might harmonize all the different shades. Searching my camera bag I found a pale tobacco filter. I had never used it before and have never used since. I don't even remember buying it. I hate its effect when other photographers use it, especially in landscapes. Anyway, I attached it to my lens ... waited for the people to pose nicely ... and I think I have got away with it.
