Nature's Pencil: Gallery: Salford Quay
I wanted this to be an enigmatic image, so there is deliberately nothing to indicate the scale, or the fact it is not a real hook and that the chain ends abruptly after a few more links. It is in fact a modern casting that decorates the renovated region of Salford Quay in Manchester, just a few hundred yards from the Manchester United stadium, and the Lancashire county cricket ground. And it is surprisingly big.
