Despite the massive desecration of our towns
in the 1960's, and the continued demolition of fine buildings by unscrupulous
property developers, countless beautiful buildings like this have survived
throughout the country.
Technically, a PC lens has kept the verticals
parallel, and the exposure has kept texture in the rendered wall without
creating featureless dark areas elsewhere.
I lived in Congleton for 10 years so any
half-decent picture of the place is important to me, but being ruthless, this
would be of more interest to someone that has not lived there if the strong
converging lines led the eye to something a bit more interesting than a plain
brick wall.
